Utility of Endtidal Carbon Dioxide Monitoring in Detection of Hypoxia During Sedation for Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Children with Developmental Disabilities
ETCO(2) abnormalities and hypoxia occur commonly during sedation in children with developmental disabilities. ETCO(2) monitoring is useful in early recognition of impending hypoxia during sedation in children with developmental disabilities.

End Tidal CO(2) Tension: Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension vs Pulmonary Venous Hypertension and Response to Treatment
Etco(2) is a promising tool to differentiate patients with PAH from those with PVH or no PH, correlates with diagnostic and prognostic hemodynamic indicators, and may increase with successful treatment of PAH.

Mathematical Modeling for Prediction of Survival From Resuscitation Based on Computerized Continuous Capnography: Proof of Concept
This preliminary study suggests that computerized ETCO(2) carries potential as a tool for early, real-time decision-making during some resuscitations.
Clinical Studies
Capnography in Spontaneously Breathing Preterm Infants with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia
Compared with healthy infants, a higher PcCO(2) -EtCO(2) gradient was observed in infants with BPD, suggesting that ventilation-perfusion mismatch may be present in these infants.
Clinical Studies
Detection of Hypoventilation by Capnography and its Association with Hypoxia in Children Undergoing Sedation with Ketamine
Hypopneic hypoventilation as detected by capnography is common in children undergoing sedation with ketamine with or without midazolam.
